Dr. Priyanka Rao is an urban climate researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy. Her work focuses on using satellite data collected over time to better understand how cities heat up and how nature-based solutions, like green spaces, can help make urban areas cooler and more comfortable. She utilize techniques such as remote sensing and machine learning to study these patterns in a simple and effective way. She earned her Ph.D. in Health, Safety, and Green Systems from the University of Bologna with distinction. Before starting her Ph.D., she worked as a Project Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D).
