Dr. Abhishek Singh is a Machine Learning and Earth Observation Scientist at the Institute for Earth Observation at Eurac Research in Bolzano, Italy. He works with satellite images and artificial intelligence to better understand our planet. His work includes data fusion, image classification and Onboard AI (artificial intelligence that runs directly on satellites to process data in real time). Abhishek earned his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technology, specializing in Space Data Science and Technology, from the University of Trento, and he completed his master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO) in India.
